What we collect, why, who we share it with.

• Phone number — required to book a ride and receive verification + status SMS messages.
• Pickup and drop-off addresses — required to dispatch a driver.
• Optional ride notes — anything you tell us about the trip.
• Optional profile information — your name and email if you choose to add them.

• Device information — browser, IP address, and user-agent for security and abuse prevention.
• Ride lifecycle events — when a ride is requested, assigned, accepted, completed, or canceled, along with timestamps.

• To dispatch a driver to your pickup address.
• To send transactional SMS messages — verification codes and ride status updates. See our SMS Policy for details.
• To compute fares and produce receipts.
• To resolve disputes, refunds, and incident reports.
• To meet our legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

We share only what's strictly required to operate the service:

• Your driver — your name (if provided), pickup, drop-off, and any notes you added.
• Twilio — your phone number, so SMS messages can be delivered.
• Supabase — our database and authentication provider, which stores your account.
• Stripe — if and when payments are processed, Stripe handles the card data; we never store full card numbers.
• Lawful requests — we respond to valid legal process from authorities.

We do not sell, lease, or rent your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data to train machine-learning models.

• Opt out of SMS— reply STOP to any Green Energy Transport message. Note that without SMS verification you can't book new rides.
• Access or delete your data — email privacy@greenenergytransport.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

Ride records (pickup, drop-off, timestamps, fare) are retained for at least 7 years to meet tax and accounting obligations. If you delete your account, we anonymize your identity from those records while keeping the operational data.

Your account is protected by phone-number verification. Personal data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We follow industry-standard practices but no system is impenetrable; report anything suspicious to security@greenenergytransport.com.

Green Energy Transport is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

We'll update this page when our practices change. Material changes will be notified to active riders by SMS or email.
